As a software engineer, you will be empowered to own your projects end-to-end and be an active contributor throughout the product life cycle. Our engineers are not just technical partners, but are also business partners who are exposed to all areas of the business, working with teams such as product, marketing, and sales.

Role and Responsibilities

Our software engineers work on small, collaborative teams to help drive our company forward. Whether you are building new features in Javascript and React.js, increasing the runtime and performance of a RapidsDB cluster, or writing new C++ code for the query optimizer, you will be responsible for brand new and existing projects that are deployed into production with each release. Your work will include everything from writing to testing software, and you will gain a significant understanding of both the product and the business.

Required Skills and Experience

B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline

Deep understanding of C.S. fundamentals

Strong programming skills with Python, Go, C, C++, or JavaScript

Passionate about building highly reliable software

Firm grasp of algorithms and data structures

Business Development Manager

Position Overview

RapidsDB envisions a world of adaptable databases and flexible data workloads - your data anywhere in real time.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for inbound qualification and outbound locating, developing, defining, negotiating, driving sales within company accounts and closing business deals. This customer-facing role works collaboratively with internal teams, such as marketing and engineering, and external business partners to maximize Rapids Data's opportunity for impact and provide excellent service to achieve our customers' satisfaction.

Role and Responsibilities

Quickly gain a strong understanding of our products/competition and positioning in the industry.

Build worldwide BD team and strategy from ground up with focus on sell-to and sell-through partnerships, GSI/RSI, OEM/Embed & Technology partnership.

Start and grow OEM/Embed program from ground up to 15+ OEMS and multi-million dollar business in 12 months.

Drive key partnership with Cisco, Google, Databricks, Cloudera, MapR, Hortonworks, Mongo, Couchbase and others (such as SAP, Cray, Redhat, Marklogic, and etc.).

Drive open RapidsDB adoption and vibrant ecosystem of 200+ with 20% revenue through indirect channels

Negotiate contracts and close business deals with potential customers by coordinating requirements and integrating contract requirements with business operations, consistently achieving/exceeding company sales goals.

Required Skills and Experience

B.A. or B.S. Degree.

Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role, software lead generation experience preferred.

Five years proven sales track record of achieving measurable goals.

Strong business acumen, with the ability to become an expert on database management systems (DBMS) within your first 90 days.

High level or proficiency with spreadsheets and database applications and technical skulls required to understand and propose products or solutions by focusing on client requirements.

Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to close deals with a growth mindset.
